FORGING OUR FUTURE AMONG THE STARS
Nurture, support, empower and protect women at all stages of their education and career.
Addressing the 2020 United Nations Women and Girls in Science Assembly, astrobiologist Nathalie Cabrol pointed out that solutions for mitigating gender bias and improving gender equity are exceptionally complex ― yet the potential for transformation could be summarized in a few simple words ― nurture, support, empower, and protect women at all stages of their education and career.
By spotlighting the stories of remarkable women who are breaking boundaries in scientific discovery and space exploration, we seek to provide diverse role models that can inspire women of all ages to imagine their selves as today and tomorrow’s “star goddesses”.
Additionally, we want Star Goddess stories to help broaden public knowledge and energize public discourse about emerging challenges and shifting paradigms in space science, technology, policy and industry. Working in collaboration with our partners, we are proposing to deliver virtual and live screening events that offer audience engagement opportunities.
