Modern day space stories with new narratives for the next generation.

Star Goddesses is a documentary series about women who look to the stars and beyond. The series explores our latest endeavors in space, featuring fresh insights from diverse women breaking boundaries in scientific discovery and space exploration.

What scientific conundrum, technological challenge, or unprecedented policy do they confront? What’s at stake and why should us Earthling care?

Embark on a cosmic adventure exploring a universe of possibilities as humanity forges its future among the stars.

“Space brings us together.”

— Valentina Tereshkova, first woman in space

To see and be inspired by the universe as it really is should be a human right.

— Chanda Prescod-Weinstein, Cosmologist

You can’t be what you can’t see.

— Sally Ride, first American women in space

Reframing our vision of the future to be inclusive and collaborative.

Over 20 years aboard the International Space Station is testimony to what humans can achieve in space when we work collaboratively across disciplines, cultures and nations. Space psychologists now know that astronauts need interdisciplinary and intercultural skills, along with less bravado and plenty of patience and compassion. Scientific discoveries and technological breakthroughs are seldom achieved by one person or one nation, but rather by a consortium of researchers working across different disciplines and countries.

The Star Goddesses mission is to share what we’ve learned from the perspective of space — that diversity and collaboration are overwhelmingly advantageous for 21st century life among the stars.

We are stardust. The iron in the hemoglobin molecules in the blood in your right hand came from a star that blew up 8 billion years ago. The iron in your left hand came from another star.

— Jill Tarter, SETI astronomer
